Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. For those of your unfamiliar with the idea, Not Me! Monday was born out of a desire to admit some of our imperfections and reveal a few moments we'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!
For starters this week, Bryan and I did not have an argument conversation in which I tried to prove to him that there are, in deed, 52 states. I always listened in my seventh grade history class, of course, so there is absolutely no way that I didn't know how many states there are. Not me!
And it surely wasn't me who thought that I could close the car door before making sure that my cup of coffee was all the way inside the vehicle resulting in scalding hot coffee being thrown all over myself and Bryan's car. Not me!
One morning this week I decided to get up early and take our sweet puppy (remember Stanley?) on a long walk. On said walk, I definitely didn't think it was a good idea to let him run freely through the tall grasses on the side of the trail. I would know better than to let him go crazy in the grass because if I did that I would end up spending 30 minutes picking all the burrs out of his fur. Of course I know better than that...
While visiting the fair on Sunday, my husband and I did not pass the time by walking around looking for the many hick-like characteristics of our fellow fair-goers. We certainly did not have a contest to see how many men with creepy mustaches we could find. We also didn't take pictures with things like the butter cow and the shady parking lot just to have these funny things on record. We love the fair and would never do such a thing! That would be wrong and not very nice of us! Not us!
(and I would never ever post pictures on my blog of me wearing the same outfit 2 times in the same weekend...I would never do such a thing!)
And even if I wanted to wear the same outfit because I thought it was cute, I would never have thought it was okay to wear a sweater to the fair! I mean it was hotter than heck and so I would never subject myself to that torture for the sake of a cute outfit. Not me!
It also wasn't me who after taking this picture and planning to use it for a blog about Toms Shoes realized how gross the rest of the car was. Yuck! Bryan and I always have spotless cars (with no funky odors), so this couldn't be my car. (So if you see this picture in a future post, just remember, it's not my car!)
And lastly, while my husband was anxiously putting the finishing touches on his sermon Sunday morning, I was most definitely not at home re-watching the hilarious Tunak Tunak Tan music video that I posted about long long ago here. I was of course thinking about him and doing all I could to help him get ready.
So, again, I never seem to be at a lack of "not me's!" I loved the comments of your "not me's" from last week, please leave more, it makes me feel better! =)
On a different note: Speaking of Bryan's sermon, he did absolutely fabulous. For those who missed it, you can check it out here!! It's the first one, Inspiration =)
(I highly recommend it!)
1) I had another food victory..it's called chuckwagon...kinda gross name, but it's a delicious stew type thing.
ReplyDelete2) I haven't listened to all of Bryan's sermon, but what I listened to so far sounds great!
3) Within the first 3 real days of my job, I definitely did NOT close the closet doors that must be left open! And of course I'm not stupid so I know not to get an allergy shot when yesterday I had terrible allergies and a head cold, and still had it all this morning, so of course I did NOT get my allergy shot and most surely did NOT lie to the allergist that I was feeling well. :)
Oh, and I am totally pulling out all the finger dance moves at a wedding I'm going to this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteI did NOT play soccer with one of my friends, and accidentally kick the ball up into the air, look up, and get hit in the face with the ball...
